Fall is coming, which means the perfect time for family fun and fall festivities is right around the corner. If you’re located anywhere near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, the 13th Annual “Whoadeo” is one event you won’t want to miss!

Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction, with the help of Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show and the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud (and partners Food City and Coca-Cola), will be hosting a fun-filled event on September 21. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., guests can enjoy a free carnival, stick horse competitions, costume contests, and mascot appearances from a variety of Smoky Mountain attractions.

Registration for “Whoadeo” contests begins at 8 a.m. at Dolly Parton’s Stampede. A stick horse is required to participate, which can be purchased or handmade. Free ones will be provided at the event, however supplies are limited, so best to come prepared if you’d like to participate. The competitions will entail “a parade of stick horses,” “stick horse barrel races,” and a costume contest. The contests will have three age brackets–ages 3-5, 6-9, and 10-12, with each “Whoadeo” participant between those ages receiving a free Stampede admission ticket to the 3:30 p.m. dinner show on that day, September 21. The “Whoadeo” will take place on the Stampede main area floor, and will have first, second, and third place prizes–including bicycles and tablets.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Food City will be providing complimentary snacks for competing cowgirls and cowboys, along with soft drinks supplied by Coca-Cola. Each “Whoadeo” contestant will also receive a Kid’s Club backpack courtesy of Food City (while supplies last), a voucher for one free child’s ticket to The Comedy Barn Theater, and a complimentary one-day child’s ticket to Dollywood (valid only for children ages 3-9.)

More information on the event can be found here!
