It’s been 35 years since the original Ghostbusters saved New York City from the supernatural, and they are returning this October to celebrate!

The original film from 1984 will be available in 600 theaters nationwide, thanks to Fathom Events, on two dates only; Sunday, October 6 and Thursday, October 10.  Originally directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Bill Murray (Dr. Peter Venkman), Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz), Harold Ramis (Dr. Egon Spengler), and Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore), the original Ghostbusters has become a classic. On the heels of this re-release will be the newest Ghostbusters sequel, which is directed by Reitman’s son, Jason, and comes out next year.

Accompanying the theater re-release will be an introduction reuniting some of the original cast members, and rare alternate takes of some of the film’s most memorable scenes.
