Netflix has released its first glimpse of the upcoming movie The King!

The movie is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Henriad” with David Michôd directing based on a screenplay he co-wrote with Joel Edgerton.  Timothée Chalamet plays King Henry V of England and Robert Pattinson is the Dauphin of France. Ben Mendelsohn (Henry IV), Joel Edgerton (Falstaff), and Lily-Rose Depp (Catherine) also star in The King. The story revolves around Prince Hal, the soon to be King Henry the V, as he “ascends the English throne upon his father’s death, and must navigate the palace snake pit, chaos and inherited war against France.”, according to IMDb.

While the Netflix premier date is as of yet unknown, The King will premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 2.
