ABC has announced the cast for its rendition of Little Mermaid Live! It will star the voice of Moana as Ariel, who is no stranger to oceans, Auli’i Cravalho. Queen Latifah, who is versatile in her talents, will play Ursula, while rapper Shaggy will bring your favorite crab, Sebastian, to life.
This televised live action musical was announced in 2017 but put on hold according to Entertainment Weekly. It will be a “never-before seen hybrid format”, as there will be live musical performances alongside a showing of the original hit movie. Little Mermaid Live! is setting sail November 5 at 8 p.m.
