Announced at SDCC: ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ to Release May 2021

Marvel Studios has announced Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen will reprise their roles of Dr. Stephen Strange and Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch.

Benedict Cumberbatch was introduced as Dr. Stephen Strange in 2016’s Doctor Strange. Elizabeth Olsen was introduced at Wanda Maximoff in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Scott Derrickson, who also directed 2016’s Doctor Strange, will return as director for the sequel.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently set to be released to theaters May 7, 2021!
