In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Angela Kang (Terriers) talks about the time jump we will see:
They’ve been living with some of the Whisperers’ rules, and we’ll see that some things have changed, and some people have done some unexpected things in the time that has passed to deal with the trauma at the end of last season.
Fans will also get more back story about The Whisperers, including members Alpha (Samantha Morton) and Beta (Ryan Hurst).
There are also hints that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will be seeing more freedom this season, thanks to saving Judith (Cailey Fleming) during a snowstorm. And it is also not known yet if Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will be returning to the series.
Beloved cast member Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne, confirmed that season 10 will be her last on the hit series.
