“Hey Upper East Siders. Gossip Girl here, and I have the biggest news ever.”

Yes, you guessed it: Gossip Girl is getting rebooted! It has been seven years since the teen drama ended, and now, the new streaming service HBO Max (coming Spring 2020) has ordered 10 one-hour episodes.

The show will see Josh Schwartz (Runaways) and Stephanie Savage (Cult) working together again. It doesn’t look like it will follow the adventures of Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and her on-again-off-again best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester). It is going to be set around eight years after the original show and follow a new group of Manhattan private schoolers.

There is no news yet if any previous cast members will be involved or make a guest appearance.

I wonder if Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) will be returning as the voice of Gossip Girl to narrate.
