‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Ending after Season 7
Jeph Loeb announced today in an interview with Deadline that the seventh season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D would be the last. The show is currently nearing the end of its sixth season and announced it’s renewal for a seventh season in November of 2018. The final season will have 13 episodes. The show was renewed for a seventh season, comprised of thirteen episodes, in November 2018. The show is currently in its sixth season with the season finale to air on August 2.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first aired in 2013 and was centered around Agent Phil Coulson. Coulson first appeared in the MCU in Iron Man in 2008 and more recently in Captain Marvel, after his death in Avengers and his subsequent resurrection. In the series Agent Coulson leads a team composed of S.H.I.E.L.D agents Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) and Alphonso MacKenzie (Henry Simmons), S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and inhumans Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) and Elena Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley) until his death in season five.
