There’s a new Batman in Gotham!

As we all anticipated, Warner Bros. officially named Remember Me and Twilight star Robert Pattinson as the new caped crusader in The Batman, the next movie in the Batman franchise, to be directed by Matt Reeves. Dylan Clark, who was producer of Planet of The Apes,  is rumored to be the film’s producer, though an official announcement has yet to be made.

Pattinson will follow in the footsteps of Michael Keaton, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and most recently Ben Affleck.

As a Batman comic and film fan, I’m intrigued to see Pattinson’s portrayal of the hero. No date has been set to begin filming as of now, but the movie is slated to be out in 2021.
