IMDb describes the movie as:
Two would-be rockers from San Dimas, California, were once told they’d save the universe during a time-travelling adventure but find themselves as middle-aged dads still trying to crank out a hit song and fulfill their destiny.
This movie comes 31 years after the release of the first film, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventures (1989), and the second was called Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991). The duo was even seen briefly as an animated TV series in 1990.
