SundanceTV announced today that the second season of its hugely popular series This Close will premiere on Thursday, September 12 at midnight EST/9 p.m. PST. This Close is written and produced by its two leading stars, Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, who play best friends Kate and Michael, two 20-somethings trying to juggle careers, family, and love in Los Angeles.

The new season will have eight episodes in total — two more than in season one — and will also air on Sundance Now, AMC Network’s premium video streaming service. The first two episodes will air back-to-back, on Thursday September 12 and Friday September 13.

Earlier this year, This Close was nominated for a GLAAD award for Outstanding Comedy Series, as well as a Peabody Award in the Entertainment category.
