Matt Cohen’s ‘Mama Bear’ to Appear at Film Festivals in California, Iowa and Pennsylvania

Matt Cohen’s Mama Bear has already been selected at multiple film festivals, and we’re just starting to learn what those are! Mama Bear is an official selection of the California International Shorts Festival, The Iowa Motion Picture Association Awards, and the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival.

For the California International Shorts Festivalwhich takes place on March 24 at the Complex Theater in Hollywood, California, Mama Bear will be shown with the “Block 3” films from 3-5pm. Tickets are $13 and you can purchase them here.

The Iowa Motion Picture Association Awards will take place on March 30, 2019 in Fairfield, Iowa, and screenings of nominated films will take place from 10am – 5pm. Mama Bear is nominated for “Best Direction – Short” and “Live Action Entertainment – Short”. For the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the official schedule has not yet been released, but the event takes place from May 8 – May 11, 2019. We’ll update you when the schedule becomes available. You can find out more information here.

Mama Bear has already won Best Director, Best Original Score, Best Actress and Best Producer at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Awards and has won Best Director, Best Sound Design and Best Film Zeus Award at the Los Angeles Olympus Film Festival.
