On social media today, Danneel and Jensen Ackles announced that they will be “sharing” their birthdays this year with the organization The Birthday Party Project. Their mission is to make sure that children all over the country have a chance to celebrate their birthday, and they host 48 birthday parties a year in 15 different cities, including Austin. From their website:

With the help of our birthday enthusiasts™ (volunteers), we host monthly birthday bashes at homeless and transitional living facilities across the country. Our themed parties are complete with activities and games, decorations, cakes, and FUN for all the children and families living at the agency.

The philanthropic duo are both celebrating birthdays this month (Jensen’s was on March 1st, Danneel’s will be on March 18th) and they have committed to raising money for this amazing cause. You can donate to their fundraiser here!
