Stephen Amell, who plays “Oliver Queen” on Arrow, took to Twitter to announce that season 8 will the final season, with a shorter run of only 10 episodes.
Playing Oliver Queen has been the greatest professional experience of my life… but you can’t be a vigilante forever.
Arrow will return for a final run of 10 episodes this Fall.

Arrow first aired their version of the Emerald Archer back in 2012 and the show has launched two spin off series, The Flash and DC Legends of Tomorrow. It helped to create an ever growing universe for DCTV which now also includes Supergirl, Batwoman and Constantine.
Though the flagship show will be greatly missed the world it has had a hand in creating will be it’s legacy.
Arrow airs on the CW, Mondays at 8pm.
