‘Star Trek Discovery’ Renewed for Third Season With Additional Showrunner

CBS All Access announced today that it will continue to “boldly go” on with the Star Trek universe by announcing the renewal of Star Trek Discovery for a third season.
Along with renewal was the announcement that Michelle Paradise has been made co-showrunner alongside Alex Kurtzman. Kurtzman will continue to oversee the entire expansion of the Star Trek universe for CBS All Access. Paradise, who joined Discovery mid-way through season two, will also be a Co-Executive Producer on the show and was formerly an Executive Producer for CW’s The Originals. Her reach extends across several networks as a writer for Rogue (Audience Network), Hart of Dixie (CW), and creator (as well as wrote for and starred in) of Exes and Ohs for MTV and Logo.
The second season of Star Trek Discovery is currently streaming on CBS All Access Thursdays at 8:30 pm in the United States and concurrently being distributed by CBS Studios International as well as Netflix in over one hundred countries.
