Netflix’s ‘Punisher’ and ‘Jessica Jones’ Join Cancelled Marvel Shows

Deadline has reported that The Punisher and Jessica Jones have joined the ranks of Netflix’s cancelled Marvel series Daredevil, Iron Fist, The Defenders and Luke Cage.

This news come exactly one month after the second season of The Punisher was released. These were the last two series fans had been waiting to hear the fate of after Netflix announced cancellations for its other superhero shows this year.

Jessica Jones will release its third series, but there will be no more after that.

Fans started speculating about the vigilante’s fate this morning after star Jon Bernthal took to social media in what appeared to be a farewell message to Frank Castle.

Marvel and Netflix have been slowly severing ties as Disney-who owns Marvel- preps to launch its own streaming service, Disney+.
