‘Willow’ Celebrates 30th Anniversary With Digital and Blu-ray Release

For the first time ever, fans of Ron Howard‘s Willow can own their very own digital copy of the movie. The movie is available now through Amazon Prime and iTunes as well as Vudu.In addition to the digital release, a new 30th anniversary Blu-ray of the movie is also now available in stores. Star Warwick Davis, who plays the title character Willow, enthusiastically shared the news via his Twitter.

The 1988 film co-stars Val Kilmer and Joanne Whalley. The official description of the film, courtesy comicbook.com, reads:

From legendary filmmakers George Lucas and Ron Howard comes Willow, a timeless fantasy tale where heroes come in all sizes. While Willow Ufgood (Warwick Davis) finds an abandoned baby girl, he learns she is destined to end the reign of wicked Queen Bavmorda.
