Walt Disney Studios released 5 new character posters and a new sneak peek for the highly anticipated Mary Poppins Returns. With just over one month to go until the Dec. 19 release date, we get a high definition look at a few of our soon-to-be favorite characters.
Emily Blunt will revive the beloved character of Mary Poppins this Christmas season. She is returning to the Banks household once again, where a now-grown Michael and Jane Banks live in London with Michael’s three young children.
Mary is joined by her friend Jack, played by playwright and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda. Together, they will help the Banks family rediscover the true meaning of happiness.
Meryl Streep joins in the fun as Topsy, Mary Poppins’ cousin, whom the Banks visit with Mary and Jack on their journey.
Colin Firth will portray William Weatherall Wilkins, the current president of Fidelity Fiduciary Bank.
Ellen, played by Julie Walters, is the current housekeeper for Michael Banks.
The newest sneak peek of Mary Poppins Returns features Jack (Miranda) singing a delightfully upbeat tune as viewers are treated to a whirlwind of color, promising a wonderful adventure. We dare you to try and watch it without smiling.
