Briana Buckmaster to Perform at ‘Songs and Stories, Love and Hope’
Across America, people will be spending July 4th barbecuing and shooting off fireworks. However, up in Vancouver, Briana Buckmaster, along with several other stars, will be performing a benefit concert to raise money for legal services for migrant children.
“Songs and Stories, Love and Hope” will take place at the Goldcorp Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre in Vancouver at 8 p.m. on July 4th. Along with Buckmaster, performers include Eric McCormack, Amanda Tapping, Omari Newton, Jenn Griffin, Odessa Shuquaya, Elaine Avila, Colin Thomas, MacKenzie Porter, Yoshie Bancroft, Dave Deveau, Kat Reynolds, Chelsea Rose, Dawn Pemberton, Paul Kinman, Monica Sumulong, Ben Parker, Zophia Rose Musiej, Nyla Carpentier, Janet Gigliotti, Meghan Gardiner, Jennifer Copping, Jonathan Winsby, Miranda MacDougall, Matt Montgomery, Mark Dozlaw, Max Kim, Katherine Matlashewski, Jenny Mitchell and Kevin Michael Cripps.
According to the ticket site, “All proceeds to KIND (Kids In Need of Defense), which provides legal services to migrant children, and Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services, which works to ensure the rights, safety, well-being and spirit of Aboriginal children, and strives to eliminate oppression, discrimination and marginalization within their community.”
