On October 1, 1971, Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom opened for the first time. It’s been 45 years and Disney celebrated it yesterday with merchandise as well as added discounts for passholders.
Guests were treated to park maps that celebrated the achievement, which opened into a poster. There were also buttons that cast members gave out as you can see below:

There were a lot of other merchandise available: shirts, lanyards, pins, cups, chocolates and more.
There were also special cupcakes available to celebrate the ocassion:

As for passholders, Disney announced these discounts:

Passholders will receive 20 percent off the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 45 participating theme park and resort hotel restaurants. There will be 10 percent off food and nonalcoholic beverages at select table-service restaurants at theme parks and resort hotels.
