Julie Plec, who is the Executive Producer and Creator for The Originals, has just announced on Twitter that the next season of The Originals, Season 5, will be the last. The show debuted in 2013 as a spin-off to The Vampire Diaries, centered around vampire Klaus Mikaelson and his family.
