Jason Sudeikis joined brothers Jason and Travis Kelce on a brand-new episode of their podcast, New Heights, and not only stated that season 4 is currently being written as we speak … but he also revealed that Ted will be coaching a women’s team.

Ted Lasso follows the story of a small-time college football coach from Kansas (Sudeikis) who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.

Following its premiere in 2020, the heartwarming and hilarious Emmy-winning series went on to become a global phenomenon in the years that followed. The series initially wrapped with its third season back in May 2023, prior to this announcement.

“As we all continue to live in a world where so many factors have conditioned us to ‘look before we leap,’” said star and executive producer Sudeikis, “in season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.”

Emmy Award winner Jack Burditt joins season 4 as executive producer. Sudeikis stars and executive produces alongside Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel. Brett Goldstein serves as writer and executive producer alongside Leanne Bowen. Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh will serve as writers and producers, and Sasha Garron co-produces. Julia Lindon will also write, and Dylan Marron will serve as story editor. Bill Lawrence executive produces along with Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer.

Ted Lasso seasons 1 through 3 are now streaming on Apple TV+. You can look back on our season 3 review here, as well as our episodic recaps.
