As announced by Kodansha USA Publishing, Satoru Nii’s hit manga series, WIND BREAKER, will be switching to an accelerated print schedule with monthly releases starting July 2025.
The fan-favorite high school delinquent manga’s English publication debuted as a digital-first release in April 2022, followed by print releases starting in August 2023. The series then received an anime adaptation, produced by CloverWorks, which began airing April 2024. A second season is due to premiere this April.
“In the world of ‘WIND BREAKER’, Haruka Sakura wants nothing to do with weaklings — he’s only interested in the strongest of the strong. He’s from Fuurin High School, a school of near-dropout degenerates known only for their brawling strength. And in a town known for its territorial disputes, Haruka’s got only one goal — become the hero his town deserves.”
17 volumes of the English language publication of WIND BREAKER are currently available digitally, as well as eight volumes in print. Volume 9 is set to release next month on February 4.
