At the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic Con tonight, Kevin Feige brought out Robert Downey Jr., who revealed he’d be playing Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers film, Avengers: Doomsday.
Avengers: Doomsday is also set to release in theaters May 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars was also announced to release in theaters May 2027. The Russo Brothers will return to direct both films.
When asked on stage, Downey Jr., said he liked, “playing complicated characters.” He’s most known for his role as Tony Stark/Ironman in the MCU.
