Apple TV+ Releases Trailer for Upcoming Adventure Series ‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’

AppleTV+ released a trailer this week at New York Comic Con that should have every monster aficionado excited. November 17 will mark the release of the highly anticipated action-adventure series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. This series will follow two siblings who are trying to navigate living in a world that now knows monsters are real. Desperate to find out how they are connected to these monsters, the siblings are forced to look into their families’ past and must work with those who originally buried these secrets in order to figure out what the monsters have in store for the world at large. The official description for the series is:

Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco, and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives. 

Besides starring Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell, the series also stars Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett, and Elisa Lasowski. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is co-developed and executive-produced by Chris Black and Matt Fraction. Matt Shakman directs the first two episodes and also serves as executive producer alongside Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, and Andrew Colville with Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures also executive producing. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita also executive produce the series on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of the Godzilla character.
