Last fall, the first season of the scripted podcast Case 63 premiered on Spotify, the thrilling story leaving listeners on the edge of their seats from start to finish. And now, after a mind-bending cliffhanger, the series will finally return with its 10-episode second season on Tuesday, September 26.

“Season two picks the story back up where listeners left off. It’s 2012. Eliza Beatrix Knight, (Julianne Moore), wakes confused in an airport. Hospitalized, she is treated by a resident psychiatrist with a familiar voice — a Dr. Vincent Caldwell, (Oscar Isaac), But her new reality poses more threats and questions than answers, and with the future of humanity at risk, Beatrix must race to unravel her new present in order to save the future.”

Moore and Isaac are joined this season by Zoë Winters, who voices Marie Baker, a teenage girl whose very existence might be the key to the future, and Arian Moayad as Oliver Collins, a computer hacker with a knack for decryption, and perhaps a higher purpose to the mission.

The first season was a hit, topping the Spotify Podcast Charts in six countries and earning a spot in the top five podcasts for Spotify’s Wrapped 2022, with the series ultimately becoming the most streamed scripted podcast in the world.

This podcast is an adaptation of Caso 63, Spotify’s most listened-to scripted Original podcast in Latin America, originally produced in Santiago, Chile, and created and written by Julio Rojas. The premiere season marked the first time that a Spotify Original podcast from a non-English speaking market was adapted into multiple languages.

Case 63 is produced by Spotify Studios, Moore’s production company FortySixty, and Isaac’s Mad Gene Media, with both Moore and Isaac serving as executive producers on the podcast.
