Minion Land to Officially Open at Universal Orlando on August 11

While the land has been available for guests to see in a soft opening, Universal Orlando has finally released their official opening date for the new Minion Land!

The land expands on the already popular ride “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem”, and opens up a brand new attraction for guests to experience — “Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast” which took over the old “Shrek 3-D”. In this attraction features immersive sets, interactive technology and more that give you this great attraction for the whole family.

In addition to the attraction is Illumination’s Minion Cafe, a new eatery; Pop-A-Nana which is a kiosk featuring banana flavored popcorn; Freeze Ray Pops, a walk-up window serving frozen treats; Bake My Day, a retail location and bakery. You can also meet some of your favorite characters like the Minions, Gru, Margo, Edith, and Agnes near the outdoor Illumination Theater.
