‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Season 2 Trailer Released Featuring First Look at ‘Lower Decks’ Crossover
Paramount+ has revealed the first trailer for season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds! The trailer also reveals the first look at the Star Trek: Lower Decks crossover, featuring Tawny Newsome and Jack Quaid.
The special crossover episode was directed by Jonathan Frakes and will also feature animation.
In season 2 of Strange New Worlds, “the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, under the command of Captain Christopher Pike, confronts increasingly dangerous stakes, explores uncharted territories, and encounters new life and civilizations. The crew will also embark on personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies. Facing friends and enemies both new and familiar, their adventures will unfold in surprising ways never seen before on any “Star Trek” series.”
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romihn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, and Babs Olusanmokun, with guest star Paul Wesley and a new addition to the cast, Carol Kane.
The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment with Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serving as co-showrunners. Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Jenny Lumet, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Heather Kadin, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth executive produce the series.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will premiere on Thursday, June 15 on Paramount+, and the 10-episode season will release weekly on Thursdays thereafter.
