It’s been a long time coming, but there is finally news about the future of FOX”s 9-1-1! Season 7 is officially happening, but according to Deadline, it will not happen on FOX. It will instead move to ABC due to financial reasons, joining a plethora of other procedurals and medical dramas, including Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, The Rookie, and The Good Doctor.

However, the spin-off, 9-1-1: Lone Star, will continue to air on FOX, as the network has renewed it for a fifth season. Whether or not the two shows will crossover next season is unknown, but it may be harder now that the 118 and 126 will soon no longer be on the same network.

The season 6 finale of 9-1-1 will air on Monday, May 15 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX. Be sure to be on the lookout for 9-1-1 season 7 on ABC, hopefully later this year. Check out the rest of our 9-1-1 coverage here.
