On September 15 of this year will see Kenneth Branagh’s Hercule Poirot return to the big screen in A Haunting in Venice, and the film’s poster and first teaser trailer just debuted at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

The supernatural-thriller based on Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party is Branagh’s third dive into Christie’s Poirot mysteries. Set in the eerie, post-World War II world of Venice, A Haunting in Venice follows a now-retired Poirot as his self-imposed exile is interrupted on All-Hallows Eve when he reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo where a guest is murdered. Thrust back into the world of mystery that he thought he had left behind, Poirot must face a sinister world of shadows and secrets to solve this mystery.

The film reunites many of the filmmakers behind Branagh’s first two Poirot films, Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile, including Branagh as director and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Michael Green. Also, scoring the film is acclaimed Icelandic composer Hildur Guđnadóttir, whom you may know from her multiple award-winning scores for Joker and Chernobyl or her more recent work on TÁR and Women Talking. Then round out the film’s stunning lineup, it features a stunning ensemble cast including Branagh himself, Kyle Allen (Rosaline), Camille Cottin (Call My Agent), Jamie Dornan (Belfast), Tina Fey (30 Rock), Jude Hill (Belfast), Ali Khan (6 Underground), Emma Laird (Mayor of Kingstown), Kelly Reilly (Yellowstone), Riccardo Scamarcio (Caravaggio’s Shadow), and recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

Check out the new teaser below and the wonderfully creepy poster above, then mark your calendar to catch A Haunting in Venice this September.
