2017 was a monumental year for Nintendo with the launch of the Nintendo Switch console alongside the critically acclaimed game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Now, six years and many titles later, the wait for the highly anticipated sequel is finally almost over. Ahead of the impending release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the third and final pre-launch trailer has arrived.
Tears of the Kingdom expands on the open-world environment of its predecessor even further by offering a sprawling, epic adventure that traverses both the land and skies of Hyrule. Malevolent forces once again threaten the kingdom, and players will be tasked with harnessing the power of Link’s new abilities in order to bring peace to the lands.
Back in March, Nintendo revealed a special edition OLED Switch for the game, along with a new Pro controller and carrying case.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on May 12. Pre-orders are now available.
