‘Return of the Jedi’ Returning to Theaters for 40th Anniversary

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi is returning to theaters for a limited time to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the film!

Announced at Star Wars Celebration in London, ROTJ will be back on the big screen Friday, April 28-May 4 in the US and April 28-May 1 in the UK. Tickets are not on sale yet for most theaters, however, you can sign up to be alerted when they do on Fandango.

A new poster from Matt Ferguson was also released for the anniversary.

The film originally premiered on May 25, 1983. Directed by Richard Marquand and written by George Lucas and Lawrence Kasdan, Return of the Jedi closed out the original Star Wars trilogy. Luke took on Vader, Princess Leia and the Rebels faced the Empire, and destinies were fulfilled.
