As part of Wick Week, Lionsgate has shared a new trailer for the upcoming installment of the John Wick franchise, John Wick: Chapter 4.
The new trailer, set to a remix of Alabama 3’s “Woke Up This Morning,” sees the renowned assassin fight back against the High Table, seeking the most powerful members around the globe to regain his freedom. It also gives a first glimpse at some of the new characters in action, including Rina Sawayama as Akira and Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu.
The end of the trailer reveals a dog and if we know anything about the John Wick franchise, they’re a key component. The furry friend appears to belong to Tracker (Shamier Anderson) who has appeared in promotional material with the pup.
John Wick: Chapter 4 picks up with Wick, who narrowly escaped “death” from Winston and the High Table in Parabellum, and is now under the custody of the Bowery King. If Wick can defeat Marquis, a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe, they will grant him release.
The cast also includes Bill Skarsgård as Marquis, Clancy Brown as The Harbinger, Donnie Yen as Caine, Wick’s former friend, Ian McShane as Winston, Scott Adkins as Killa, Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King, and Lance Reddick as Charon.
John Wick: Chapter 4 releases in theaters on March 24.
