‘Superman & Lois’ Still Has ‘1 or 2 More Seasons’ Left According to James Gunn and Peter Safran

Superman & Lois is gearing up to begin airing its third season on The CW. As part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC slate announcement, the DC Studios heads touched on the future of the series.
The news comes in the midst of ongoing cancelations at the network. “It’s a show everybody likes, so it’s gonna keep going for a little bit.” Gunn said.
First introduced on Supergirl, Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman quickly became a fan-favorite, one that eventually led to him getting his own series with Elizabeth Tulloch starring opposite of him as Lois Lane. The series follows the Kent family (including their two sons Jonathan and Jordan) as they reacclimatize themselves to Smallville from the big city. The journey is not without its problems, however, as many of the shows villains aim to eliminate what they deem a threat in Superman for good.
The series also stars Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang-Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons, Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons, and Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo. Michael Cudlitz and Michael Bishop are boarding the show’s third season as Lex Luthor and Jonathan Kent, respectively.
Superman & Lois season 3 premieres Tuesday, March 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
