‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Earns Two Golden Globe Award Nominations

The Golden Globes celebrates achievements across film and television as chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and the nominations for the 80th annual Gloden Globe Awards are here.

Top Gun: Maverick has received a total of two nominations:

  • Best Motion Picture, Drama
  • Best Original Song in a Motion Picture – “Hold My Hand” By Lady Gaga, BloodPop, Benjamin Rice

Top Gun: Maverick continues to follow the story of Pete “Maverick” Mitch (Tom Cruise) 30 years after the events in the original film. After all his years of service, Maverick continues to push the envelope as a courageous test pilot while dodging an advancement in rank. Things change when he is assigned to train a detachment of graduates for a top-secret assignment. Maverick will face ghosts of his past and fears while culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who choose to fly it. 

The Golden Globe Awards will air live from Beverly Hills, California, on NBC and Peacock on January 10, 2023. Check out all of this year’s nominees here.
