The follow-up series to Guy Ritchie’s film The Gentlemen is going forward at Netflix. Yesterday, Theo James was confirmed as the first addition to the cast, and today many more have been announced.

Joining James in the series will be Kaya Scodelario (Crawl), Daniel Ings (I Hate Suzie), Joely Richardson (Lady Chatterley’s Lover), Giancarlo Esposito (The Boys), Peter Serafinowicz (The Tick), and Vinnie Jones (Snatch). Jones’ involvement in the series will be the reunion between Jones and Ritchie, who worked together on 2000’s Snatch.

According to Netflix, the series is set in the same world as The Gentlemen, but will follow an entirely new set of characters. James stars in the series as Eddie, “the estranged son of an English aristocrat who inherits the family pile – only to discover that it’s sitting on top of the biggest weed farm in Europe.”

Ritchie directed, penned the screenplay for, and produced the film and will serve as writer, director, and executive producer on the series. Matthew Read, who co-wrote the pilot with Ritchie, will also executive produce and direct the first two episodes. Marn Davies, Ivan Atkinson, and Marc Helwig executive produce for Miramax TV; along with Will Gould and Frith Tiplady for Moonage Pictures. Hugh Warren is the series’ producer. Miramax TV is the studio, with Miramax being the studio for the film.

Production is set to begin November 7. The Gentlemen film is available to stream on Netflix. Stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for updates.
