Legendary Comics’ neo-noir graphic novel Head Wounds: Sparrow is finally here!
Developed by Jason Spire and award-winning actor, musician, and producer Oscar Isaac for his production company Mad Gene Media, Head Wounds: Sparrow was created by Bob Johnson with a story co-written by John Alvey.
“A detective with a higher purpose feels the pain and wears the wounds of those he’s failed to protect, and there’s only one way to stop the bleeding: vengeance. As a divine battle of good and evil between Angels and Demons rages around him, can this crooked detective follow the straight-and-narrow to seek justice, or will he save his wounded skin as the fate of humanity hangs in the balance?”
Head Wounds: Sparrow is written by New York Times best-selling writer Brian Buccellato (Detective Comics: Batman, The Flash, Chicken Devil) with art by Christian Ward (Invisible Kingdom, Blood Stained Teeth).

This marks the debut comic book project for Johnson and Alvey, longtime childhood friends of Isaac who share his passion for storytelling, music, and comics.
Isaac recently appeared at New York Comic Con (NYCC) for his first ever spotlight panel, during which he was joined onstage by Buccellato and Ward to discuss the graphic novel. Earlier this week, Isaac, Johnson, and Alvey celebrated the launch of Head Wounds: Sparrow at Barnes & Noble Union Square in New York City with a Q&A moderated by Travel Channel’s podcast co-host of Pop Paranormal, Karama Horne.
