Starz announced today Outlander fans will see the return of some fan favorites when the series returns for its seventh season. It was revealed that Graham McTavish will be reprising his role as Dougal MacKenzie, with Nell Hudson returning as Laoghaire Fraser and Steven Cree as Old Ian Murray. Also announced to be returning to the series is Andrew Whipp as Brian Fraser, Layla Burns as Joan MacKimmie, and Lotte Verbeek as Geillis Duncan.
Season 7 will also see several new actors join the cast. Gloria Obianyo joins as Mercy Woodcock, a free Black woman navigating the hardships of life in Colonial America; and Rod Hallett as Benedict Arnold, the notorious Revolutionary soldier turned traitor. Also joining the cast is Chris Fulton, Diarmaid Murtagh, Kristin Atherton, Charles Vandervaart, Izzy Meikle-Small, and Joey Phillips.
