blink-182 Announces New Album & Tour, Tom DeLonge to Return
It’s not just a rumor anymore — blink-182 has officially confirmed the return of guitarist and co-vocalist Tom DeLonge! In addition to this long-awaited reunion with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, the band also revealed that they have a new album on the way, as well as an upcoming tour.
The news arrived in the form of a suggestively tongue-in-cheek video that’s nothing if not fitting for the classic blink-182 that we all know and love.
A song from the new album, “Edging,” will be released Friday, October 14.
blink-182 will be hitting the road for their 2023/2024 world tour next March. Special guests include Turnstile, Rise Against, The Story So Far, and Wallows. Tickets are set to go on sale starting Monday, October 17 at 10 a.m. local time.
Prior to the return of DeLonge, Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba played with the band from 2015 until now, during which time he recorded two albums with them — California and Nine. DeLonge co-founded blink-182 with Hoppus and Scott Raynor in 1992.
