It has been announced that the latest instalment in the Despicable Me franchise, Minions: The Rise of Gru will be available on Peacock from September 23. Coming directly from theatres, it will be available exclusively on the streaming platform.

The movie tells the origin story of how Gru (Steve Carell) became a supervillain. After interviewing to join the supervillain supergroup, the Vicious 6, Gru accidentally finds himself their enemy. As he goes on the run, he finds he may need the help of the Minions.

Alongside Carell is an all-star cast including Russell Brand (Arthur), Taraji P. Henson (Hidden Figures), Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), and Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) amongst many others.

If you can’t get enough of those adorable Minions, make sure you head over to Peacock on September 23!
