As part of this year’s D23, Disney and ABC have announced that Josh Groban, Joshua Henry, and Rita Moreno will join Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Anniversary Celebration!

Groban will play the Beast, fitting considering his performance of the Beast’s song “Evermore” from the 2017 live action Beauty and the Beast. Henry will step in to the role of villain Gaston while Moreno will narrate. The trio join previously announced singer-songwriter H.E.R. as Belle, with Jon M. Chu set to executive produce and Hamish Hamilton in the director’s seat.

The hybrid live action and animation tribute to the iconic film will be taped in front of a live audience at Disney Studios and will air on Thursday, December 15 from 8-10 p.m. EST on ABC (and on Disney+ the next day). Stay tuned for more news as we get it!
