The Broadway Musical adaptation of Rick Riordan’s bestselling Percy Jackson book series, The Lightning Thief, is getting the young adult treatment as Theater Works USA announces the official Theater for Young Adults (TYA) version.

This one-hour adaptation of the original Broadway production aims to make the show more accessible and affordable for younger audiences. This new version is aimed at grades two through six but is not a youth version of the show. The cast will still be comprised of adult actors; the overall show has simply been adapted to better suit the younger crowd.

Young fans will get their first chance to see this new version on October 1 in New York City at the Five Angels Theater. You can grab your tickets to either the 3 p.m. or 7 p.m. shows here for $40 each. Then you can check out the details of the show and find out if it will be near you over on the Theater Works USA website.
