Prime Video’s hit series The Summer I Turned Pretty has picked up two new cast members going into its second season: Kyra Sedgwick and Elsie Fisher.

The first season of this adaptation of Jenny Han’s bestselling book trilogy hit Prime Video back in June and was an instant success! Following Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung) as she experiences the ups and downs of being a teenager, fans get to experience everything from a love triangle to family drama to income disparity and racism through the eyes of the teenage cast.

The second season will continue the story with a basis on the second book in Han’s series, It’s Not Summer Without You. Continuing the story of Belly, brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney), Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), and the rest of the family as they deal with the aftermath of the summer shown in season 1.

Sedgwick and Fisher have been confirmed as recurring characters for season 2, but the streamer has yet to release any details regarding their roles. They join a cast that includes Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson, and Tom Everett Scott.

Emmy winner Sedgwick most recently appeared on ABC in their comedy Call Your Mother. Although you might also recognize her from The Closer, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, or even Something to Talk About.

Fisher, on the other hand, had a recurring role on HBO’s Barry earlier this year. Her other credits include Eighth Grade, Castle Rock, and Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
