Saturday is underway at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, and Warner Bros. Pictures had their panel this morning where they covered their upcoming theatrical projects. In addition to a trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods, the studio also released a new teaser trailer for Black Adam.

The film follows the title character, played by Dwayne Johnson, as he is freed after 5,000 years and, on a visit to Earth, finds himself facing off with the Justice Society of America (JSA) — the precursor to the Justice League. With JSA members including Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell), and Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), tensions run high between the morally grey Black Adam and the heroes of Earth.

It was also revealed during the panel that Viola Davis will return to DC in her iconic portrayal as Amanda Waller.

Black Adam releases in theaters October 21. Check out the new trailer below, and stay tuned with Nerds & Beyond for more updates.
