NBC Picks Up ‘Magnum P.I.’ for Two More Seasons

After CBS announced in May that they were cancelling Magnum P.I., fans rallied around the show with a #SaveMagnum campaign that has finally paid off! NBC announced today that they have picked up the show for 20 episodes split over two new seasons.

After a four-season run on CBS, the Jay Hernandez-led reboot of the classic Tom Selleck show is getting new life over at NBC. Deadline broke the news, but the cast and crew were quick to jump in to share their excitement:

The show’s core cast, including Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang and Amy Hill are all set to continue with the series at its new home, and showrunner Eric Guggenheim, Justin Lin, John Davis and John Fox are also set continue executive producers. The series will also remain a co-production between Universal TV and CBS Studios.
