HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery have announced that the cast and creative team behind House of the Dragon will appear at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC)! The panel will be moderated by Jason Concepcion of Crooked and feature co-creators George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal along with executive producer Miguel Sapochnik. The actors set to appear include Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Paddy Considine, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Graham McTavish, Milly Alcock, and Emily Carey.

This event marks the return of the wider Game of Thrones universe to SDCC after having been a major attraction at Hall H while the original series was still on the air. HBO Max will also promote the series at SDCC through an immersive experience called House of the Dragon: The Dragon’s Den from July 21-24. While SDCC attendees will be the first to experience this augmented reality experience, fans at home will get an app-based version via House of the Dragon: DracARys, which will allow players to hatch and raise their own dragon. This will launch on July 25 on both the Apple Store and Google Play.

The highly anticipated prequel is set to debut on August 21 on HBO Max and delves into the time period known as the Dance of the Dragons – the Targaryen civil war that changed Westeros forever. You can find our other coverage of the series here, and stay tuned for more information as we get it!
