Ncuti Gatwa Cast as The Next Doctor


When the BBC announced that Jodie Whittaker would be leaving Doctor Who, the speculations started soon after about the identity of the new Doctor.

The BBC shared today the exciting news that Ncuti Gatwa has been casted as the 14th incarnation of the Time Lord. Gatwa is known for playing Eric Effiong on the Netflix show Sex Education.

Whittaker and the current showrunner Chris Chibnall will leave Doctor Who later this year after an episode marking the centenary of the BBC. Russell T. Davies will be back to the show as showrunner, a role he held previously from 2005 to 2009.
