Reservation Dogs star Devery Jacobs has been cast in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Echo.

Echo follows Maya Lopez/Echo, a Deaf Native American superhero who made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in last year’s Hawkeye series, instantly becoming a fan-favorite and adding to the building excitement for the series. Alaqua Cox plays the titular character of the series, which is her breakout role.

Jacobs is most well known for her starring role in Taika Waititi and Sterlin Harjo’s hit comedy series Reservation Dogs. In addition to starring as Elora Danan, Jacobs is also serving as a writer for the series’ upcoming second season.

A release date for Echo is currently unknown, so be sure to follow along with Nerds & Beyond as news on this series releases.
