The seven-episode mini-series will take a deeper look at both the musical and visual aspects of the comedy special that encapsulated what life was like living through 2020. Host Cole Cuchna will delve into just what made audiences resonate so deeply with Burnham’s award-winning special, his first since 2016.

“Cole traces the life and trajectory of the artist — and of course, the historical impact. Breaking down our beloved hip-hop masterpieces, Cole makes leaps of interpretative wonder, fusing insights, music theory, instrumentation, and lyric interpretation to social contextual analysis; empowering fans to build deeper connections with the artist as well as the music and visual elements of each album he analyzes.”

Dissect has covered a slew of other popular albums in the past, including Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly, Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Tyler the Creator’s Flower Boy, Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN., Beyoncé’s Lemonade, Childish Gambino’s Because the Internet, Beyoncé’s Black Is King, Kanye West’s Yeezus, and Mac Miller’s Swimming in Circles.

The new mini-series for Bo Burnham: Inside begins on Tuesday, April 26 on Spotify with episodes releasing weekly.
