KJ Apa and Isabel May Cast in HBO Max Movie ‘The Wonder Twins’

HBO Max has found the leads for the upcoming live-action DC comedy, The Wonder Twins. Riverdale‘s KJ Apa and Yellowstone: 1883 star Isabel May are set to portray alien siblings Zan and Jayna, respectively.

According to Deadline, the plot is still unknown, but Zan is a shapeshifter, and Jayna can transform into animals. The characters made their debut on The All-New Super Friends Hour from Hanna-Barbera and have made appearances in numerous projects over the years including Smallville and The Flash.

Black Adam and Rampage co-writer Adam Sztykiel makes his directorial debut with the new movie. Wyck Godfrey’s Temple Hill and Marty Bowen are producing the streaming flick.

Apa can currently be seen on The CW’s Riverdale as Archie Andrews, which recently got renewed for a season 7. Other credits include the movies Songbird, I Still Believe and A Dog’s Purpose. Meanwhile, May portrayed Elsa Dutton on the Paramount+ limited Yellowstone prequel series, 1883, and can also be seen in Netflix’s Alexa & Katie and CBS’ Young Sheldon.
